Climbing Partner (or Guide)

Hi,

I’ll be in Iceland December 7-16 (week) and would love to do some alpine/ice climbing when I’m in the area. I’ll be in the area with my wife (non-climber) and would like to partner up with someone local, if possible. If not, does anyone know of any local guides that would be willing to show me some great areas?

Hi Adam,

I will be in Iceland with my wife as well (who does climb) Dec 10-13. We looked into guides, but found them very expensive compared to rates in the US. We don’t lead on ice, but if you don’t find any better offers and are comfortable climbing with twin ropes and 2 followers, we’d be more than willing to join you.

Unfortunately, I am not a comfortable lead climber on vertical ice. I’d also be interested in rock (trad or sport) or alpine based climbing. I can lead either of those. Are you interested in those?
