The Icelandic Alpine club (ÍSALP) has now with the help of good benefactors collected wool blankets which will soon be put in the mountain cabin in Tindfjöll mountains.
This gives travelers the opportunity to travel lighter in order to access the cabin when staying there over night.
Now guests only need to carry with them a sleeping bag liner instead of carrying a sleepingbag.
The idea comes from what is common in the Alps and is considered to be the first Icelandic cabin that offers this luxurious accommodation.
ÍSALP hopes that many in the future will be able to use the hut and looks forward to see you in the mountains.
More information about Tindfjallaskála cabin are at the ÍSALP webside under Cabins.
